FreeMuseAI ("we," "us") publishes independent guides about Meta's Muse. This policy explains what information we collect when you use freemuseai.com, and how we use it.

We are not affiliated with Meta. This policy covers only our own site — it doesn't cover Meta's apps, muse.ai, or any Meta product.

What we collect

When you use our free Muse Spark chat tool:

• The messages you send, so we can get a response from the AI model and enforce your daily free-message limit
• Your approximate country (from your IP address, not stored as a full address) and a rate-limit identifier, so we can apply per-country and per-visitor daily limits and stop abuse
• We do not require sign-up to use the chat tool

Your messages are sent to Muse Spark through OpenRouter, an AI model marketplace we use to access the model. On our current plan, your conversations may be used by Meta to help improve its models. Don't share private or sensitive information in the chat.

When you join a waitlist or notify-me form (for example, "tell me when Muse opens in my country," or the Pro waitlist):

• Your email address
• The country you selected, if the form asks for one
• Answers to any optional question on the form

We only use this to send you the update you asked for. We don't sell this information, and we don't use it for anything else.

Automatically, through analytics:

• We use an analytics tool to see which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are located, so we can understand what to improve. This isn't linked to your name or email.

If you use the chat tool, we may also use a bot-check (like Cloudflare Turnstile) to confirm you're a real visitor and stop automated abuse of our free daily limits.

Advertising

At launch, this site does not run ads. When we do turn on advertising (Google AdSense and/or Adsterra), those networks may use cookies to show ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing. We'll update this policy when that happens, and you'll be able to manage ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings or your browser's cookie controls.

How long we keep information

• Emails from waitlist/notify-me forms: until we send the update you signed up for, or until you ask us to delete it.
• Chat messages: we don't permanently store your chat history on our own servers beyond what's needed to process your request and enforce daily limits. Meta's retention of data processed through OpenRouter is set by Meta, not us, and hasn't been publicly disclosed.

Your choices

• To stop receiving emails from a waitlist you joined, use the unsubscribe link in the email, or contact us.
• To ask what information we have about you, or to have it deleted, contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

FreeMuseAI is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and note what changed if it's a meaningful change.
