Is Meta Muse Available in India? (Sep 2026 Status)
Meta Muse, the AI agent, is not available in India yet — only the US and Canada. Here's what actually works in India today, and how to get notified.
No, Meta Muse the AI agent is not available in India — it's US and Canada only, with no announced India date. Meta AI's voice features in Hindi and Bengali reportedly already use the Spark model that powers Muse, but that's a different, more limited product.
Is Muse available in India right now?
No. Meta Muse, the personal AI agent Meta launched on September 8, 2026, is officially available only in the US, plus Canada as of September 18. Meta hasn't announced India, and its Help Center says Muse subscriptions are "in limited testing" and "aren't available in all locations yet."

What does work in India: Meta AI with Spark voice support
Muse the agent and Meta AI are two different things, and this is where India's situation gets confusing. Meta AI — the assistant already built into Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook — has been rolling out on Muse Spark, the same underlying model that powers Muse, since April 2026.
Media reports say Meta AI's voice conversations in India already support English, Hindi, and Bengali. This is not the Muse agent — it can't browse the web, manage tasks, or connect other apps for you. It's Meta AI's existing chat and voice assistant, upgraded to a stronger model.
⚠️ What's still unclear: whether text chats with Meta AI in India are already running on Spark, or only voice. We haven't found an official source that confirms this either way.

Why is India missing from the rollout?
Meta hasn't explained its country order. What we can say: Muse launched in the US, then Canada 10 days later — both English-speaking, high-income markets. India is a much larger and more complex market to open at once, and Meta has a pattern of testing new AI features in smaller markets before wider rollouts.
None of this is confirmed as Meta's actual reasoning — it's the pattern visible so far, not an announced plan.
Should you use a VPN to sign up from India?
We don't recommend it, and here's why in Meta's own words. When a user in Malaysia asked about using a VPN to access Muse, Meta's official Threads account replied that the "VPN trick doesn't make it officially available" and that doing so risks your account, adding there's "no timeline yet for other countries."
Our own testing backs this up: signing up through a non-US connection leads to Meta's official waitlist page, not a working account.
